Various Gods of Sudan and Egypt

These pieces in front of you are in fact small statues embodying the deities that were worshipped and approached in Napata. Historically the first to make some change in the ideological aspect was my father Piye, who during his regime brought some ideas, materials, artists, and craftsmen from Egypt, so he changed rituals such as Funeral practices and others, therefore, the beliefs in Napata became a mixture of the authentic Nubian beliefs and the beliefs shared with Egypt.
